With the increase in life expectancy
and decline in mortality there is an increase in the elderly population.
Now women live almost one third of their lives in the perimenopause
and postmenopausal period. Hence they should not look at menopause
as the end of their life but as the end of their fertile life. Life
is a series of gradual changes-we don't suddenly reach a turning
point and start growing old. Aging is a continuous process that
begins the moment we are born and continues till we die. In fact
you can have time now to learn some new course, start a new career
and remain healthy and fitter than ever before. By adopting a positive
attitude to life in general, and to your changing lifestyle and
body in particular, you can improve the quality of your life and
be living proof that -this is only the end of the beginning, not
the beginning of the end.
